I never imagine that I was some weeks ago blog-trotting over Hong Kong and Tokyo to follow E2EVC band another time. I’ve start following E2EVC Team (Aka PubForum) from 2007 so 11 years right now. I’ve meet this amazing guy Alex (Aka Dr.Conti) in 2005 over their website and risky batch file to patch Metaframe XP. The idea of public forum (PubForum) was for me the best place to meet customers, partners, vendors over very nice cities, we have started this stuff in EMEA and my first time was in 2007 in Lisbon very cool place for me regarding my history anyway let’s talk a little bit of my tour of this second 2017 event. I’ve choose to don’t join the first one in Sydney for many reasons and join E2EVC Tokyo event and made my own tour to cover two city’s on only one week Aka two city’s on two weeks (I love challenges and risky stuff). On the left side you can see a nice picture I’ve took with my drone (don’t enter on my pocket) on south part of Hong Kong.
Day 1: Start on Saturday 25th march 2017 at 7 am I’ve take off from Paris to Hong Kong on a direct flight ( > 11 hours) and arrive in Hong Kong on Sunday 26th march 2017 at 8 am. I love globe trotting over cities and this one was effectively new one so I decide to join my hotel over the streets to smell little bit this atmosphere of this city. First unexpected things was internet access on my mind in this part of the world you can find anywhere a free hotspot but in fact nope. BTW I get out of Kowloon station just near to Ritz Carlton took some pictures around and then was face to a border explaining please go away this part is private so I need to go back to Kowloon station.
No more free internet access so I’ve little bit information on my little brain to reach my hotel so I will do that in two hours walking all around the city (Why I don’t have listen the advice of MTR smart hostess to bring just a cab at Kowloon station). I arrive at 11:30 am but again room isn’t cleaned I still need to wait until 3 pm. No worries I book a table on the lobby bar eating some sea food and drink a nice glass of white wine in front of the bay. Lunch done I put all my stuff on the room book my sightseeing flight over the city and first diner night out on a famous restaurant.
Day 2: I’ve decide to spend my morning time doing a sightseeing tour on a boat all around the bay before doing same thing over the air. So I book a tour of 1:30 hour on pier and finally I was alone on huge boat maybe for 100 people. This boat tour spend me 3 hours on the morning very nice but you just see the north of Hong Kong in fact you go from Kowloon to DisneyLand resort. Anyway my day wasn’t finish I’ve book a sightseeing flight over the bay and I’ve take off from Peninsula hotel on 34th. I can see now the south of Hong Kong and nice beach on this place.
Day 3 : Transfer day from Hong Kong to Tokyo I bring a cab and go to Kowloon station this time one very good point here you do the check-in on the train station and then you take the MTR direct to the airport and this city is clean you see people cleaning everything.
Day 4: E2EVC Tokyo 2017 D-Day we start with @Crod and their presentation comparing Citrix vs AppliDis vs 2X bring right now by Parallels because Malta is a nice country with nice people Aka

pants @Microspecialist come on the stage to convince us to switch on Windows 2016 Entreprise. Next
one by _POPPELGAARD convince us to bring hololens for our daily activities you can see this smart guy there and also which deployment you should choose for your next Citrix design. Last guy
on stage was @TondeVreede giving us some advice running Citrix on containers. We finish the day over a nice dinner with all the band and was time for me to talk little bit with Alex and Jeremy explaining us how works IT business over APAC and Japanese specifies to win a business and also some information regarding NVIDIA organization on this part of the world. Jeremy the New Jersey guy leaving in Japan from 20 years so nice to have a little feedback regarding the daily Japanese organization.
Day 5: City tour over some places and see the annually Sakura cherry blossoms with connection with
others on the Akihabara district. Finally I can’t meet the band on LABI no more battery on my phone no free
internet access at all and very tired after walking > 15 km all over the city. I meet all the band at night.
Day 6: Game D-Day we follow @TondeVreede over train and enter on place game with oldies SEGA consoles and memories of our 14 years old. All the band go back to city center and check again prices of each TV, Phones, Hairdryser for some of them and finish around a good cheap diner.
Day 7: Go home and visit this very nice Tokyo airport with many Japanese thing smell clean and Omega hostess was so pretty thank you Alex again for this event organization, fun, network was again at top level and remember Jorge is always there.
